Description

Ensconce yourself in one of Copper Mountain’s hottest and coolest luxury experiences, with a modern, casual feel and the latest technology. Situated slope-side on Lower Roundabout (a comfortable green run), the Warming Hut is winter perfection with its effortless ski in/ski out access and proximity to the ski school and Kokomo and Union Creek lifts. It’s also a summer stunner with spectacular views and easy access to all mountain activities.

The Warming Hut was designed for families and friends to have their best possible gathering. Open concept and multi-floor rooms encourage shared experiences while also allowing for relaxation in front of a cozy fire and two-story mountain views. The recreation room has a wet bar, pool table, six TVs, and seating for 14. The ski room offers ample room for gear, a fireplace, a TV, and a card table. And don't forget the six person hot tub just steps off the ski room.

For professional and college sports fans, there is no better house in Summit County. The recreation room is your own sports bar with six TVs that can be tuned to six different games simultaneously. Each of the five TVs on the state-of-the-art video wall (one 82" flanked by four 40") is connected to both cable and Directv (with NFL Sunday Ticket) and the sixth TV (55") has cable. It was designed to be the perfect setup for March Madness, NFL Sundays, college football Saturdays, Bowl season, and the NBA, MLB, and Stanley Cup playoffs.

The two upstairs master suites are spacious, with king beds, fireplaces, private baths, and mountain vistas. The two downstairs king bedrooms have attached baths, and the bunk room has two sets of queen over queen bunks with its own bath. Flat screen TVs are in every bedroom and in each bunk. Large family or extra friends coming along? No problem. There is a queen sleeper sofa in the rec room.

We all know that FOOD is near the top of everyone’s what-makes-vacation-special list, and the Warming Hut does not disappoint. Many guests say that the central, gourmet kitchen with commercial grade appliances actually made them want to cook. For those who prefer chef-prepared food, we can help you arrange a professional in-Hut culinary feast (our local cooks/caterers love the kitchen, too). On nights when you want to try a local restaurant, a complimentary shuttle will come to the Warming Hut’s front door during prime ski season dates.

We spent a week here while the leaves were falling. So perfect! We visit summit county twice a year and this house was the best one yet. Great veiws, trails right out the back yard. The game room was amazing. The kitchen was perfect for cooking and had everything you needed. The beds and couches were all so comfortable. Also the management team was great.

The house was great and exactly as described. We had a large group with our family and everyone was comfortable. We would rent the property again if going back to the area. The only suggestion I have for anyone planning to be there in early June is to check to see when the summer season starts for the year that you will be. When we were making our plans and searched things to do at Copper Mountain in the summer it showed things opening up June 9th however that was for 2023 which we were not aware of therefore many of the shops and attractions did not open until June 21st for the 2024 summer season. This was our mistake but we still found plenty of things to do and had a great time. We enjoyed our time at the Warming Hut and the Copper Mountain area! Would highly recommend.

My Families stay at Warming Hut was amazing! It is truly a ski in ski out. We had a 5 and 3 year old in ski school which was literally a 2 minute run to the ski school. The house itself was fantastic I look forward to a return trip!

We were very pleased with our experience renting this home and felt it was well-worth the cost vs not having a true ski-in/ski-out home. Notes: This home is on a very beginner green run and right above the children's ski school. It is on the side of the mountain with mostly green and blue runs, but it is easy to get to the lift for the blue and black runs. The home's rooms were very well-situated to allow both privacy and gathering spots. Two bedrooms upstairs had fireplaces and steam showers. A soaker/spa tub was in one. No bedrooms on the main floor. (Thus, I would not recommend anyone here who has mobility issues with stairs.) Three bedrooms in the basement, each with a bathroom. All bedrooms had king beds except the bunk room which had queen beds. The rooms felt spacious and had plenty of room for lots of clothes storage. Our only repeated comment from everyone was that the sheets felt like they were extremely low-grade (stiff, industrial), but the mattress and pillows were good. The kitchen had enough plates, cups, bowls, pots, pans, etc. - but I would say the cooking utensils were limited (no ladle, no small spatula). You will want to bring your own shampoos/soaps for any stay over 3 days. The ski room was much appreciated for keeping coats, gloves, and gear. The boot / glove warmer was large and great to have. They even provided enough towels next to the warmer and the hot-tub. We liked the individual temerature control in rooms. The downstairs bar / game room was a little dark (would appreciate a better light over the kitchenette area to see things better). But, it had a very comfortable feel. Our favorite thing about this house is that it felt relaxing and "lived in" without it feeling dated. We felt like we could relax here and not staying in a museum. We all skied way more than normal on ski trips because it was slope-side. We also truly went to the house to eat instead of the ski area restaurants. We'd rent again in a heartbeat!

This home was well equipped, great location, & with space for everyone! We had 14 family members for early ski season. Even though the ski in ski out lift was not quite open, we still enjoyed our stay.

We had four families- 8 adults and 9 children aged 9 years to 6 months. The layout was perfect. There was plenty of space for each family to spread out and for big group meals. The property management was so responsive and quite honestly, they made the trip perfect. It’s a perfect rental!

Media/game room perfect for the children. The huge, well designed boot room made skiing organized, convenient, and comfortable. The bedrooms, with two laundries, gave all their private spaces and baths. Kids loved the bunk room. Then there is the kitchen! Refrigerator there and downstairs. A huge freezer. Two ovens, massive range, hot water spigot on the sink, massive bar where the kids ate every meal. If this all sounds perfect, it was. The family is already anticipating next year!

I'VE BEEN TRYING TO BOOK A HOUSE ON THE SLOPES FOR YEARS NOW. FINALLY IT HAPPENDED. THE TRUE MEANING OF SKI-IN / SKI-OUT. WE HAD A GROUP OF 14 PEOPLES AND FELT SO COMFORTABLE IN THIS BIG HOUSE. THE ADVANTAGES OF BEING ON THE SLOPE ARE MANY. SKIING IN FOR LUNCH, OR JUST TAKING A BREAK FROM SKIING IS MADE EASY BY ITS LOCATION. THE HOT TUB WAS PERFECT FOR APRES. THE SHUTTLE TO CENTER VIKLAGE IS A TEXT MESSAGE AWAY. WILL STAY HERE AGAIN FOR SURE. THERES JUST A FEW THINGS, LIKE THE DOOR TO THE MAIN BALCONY THAT PRESENT SIGNS OF WEAR, BUT THOISE ARE EASY FIXES. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS HOUSE, AT LEAST ONCE IN YOUR LIFE YOU SHOULD TRY A TRUE SKI-IN/SKI-OUT. CHEERS!

For someone who has been renting these houses for years for my large family, this is absolutely a true ski in/ski out...even for beginners! And it's one stop from the ski school which was super convenient. The house is beautiful and large enough for 5 families with plenty of space. Although there were a few maintenance issues, they were taken care of immediately and professionally. Definitely bring your own toiletries as there is only a small hotel size provided and if you're staying a week, you'll run out quickly.

This home is in a perfect location - close to Copper Village and the cutest towns of Frisco and Dillon. You are slopeside in this home, and the floor to ceiling family room window views do not disappoint! Our extended family of 12 just spent a fabulous Thanksgiving week in this home. There was tons of room to huddle in the same area or spread out throughout the home. We specifically enjoyed the downstairs “game room” for playing pool and watching football, the hot tub with snow falling all around, and the slopeside family room with fireplace. The kitchen is both extremely spacious and well-stocked with an abundance of dishes, utensils, and appliances. River Ridge Rentals does an absolutely impeccable job of making sure you have everything you could want or need. They are extremely attentive and responsive - we travel frequently and were impressed by their professional and friendly attentiveness!

Hosted our annual FFL draft weekend at the house and it was perfect! The video wall was amazing for watching a bunch of live sports and the house was huge so we never felt cramped, even with 12 grown men staying at the property. The kitchen was by far the most stocked VRBO we have ever stayed at, and it enabled us to make all of our meals with ease. There was a prolonged internet outage during our stay that affected our draft, but it appeared to be a larger issue with the surrounding area and not isolated to the house and the management company was very receptive and kind when trying to figure out the situation. And the Sonos/audio system appeared to not be working quite right and/or had some faulty equipment, but that didn't take away from the weekend. All in all, it was a great experience and would recommend the house to anyone especially during ski season!

This house was our perfect getaway for our family vacation this year. We enjoyed the beautiful nature surrounding us, the activities offered in our area, and benefited from the spacious house where we enjoyed playing family games and a great bar-b-que. Definitely recommend this resort, this house, and this part of Colorado for anyone who is visiting for the first time with any size family (including little ones under 2!).

We were a bit hesitant to go through with our rental—we rented back in Feb 2020 before Covid became a thing and when it did emerge as a full blown pandemic, we expected it to be gone before our March 2021 arrival. Well, Covid was still around but it didn’t take away from our trip. Thank goodness! River Ridge Rentals kept us abreast of new health orders and also let us know about an impending snow storm that ended up crippling traffic for a couple of days. We took the advice and headed out early. The Warming Hut was beautiful. They thought of just about everything! The boot/glove dryer/warmer was absolutely fabulous! How will we ever ski without one of those again?! The heated floors in the ski room was a nice bonus and so was the hot tub. The kitchen was nice with lots of space in the pantry. There was fridge space basically all over the house! Two full size fridges and several mini fridges. We cooked most meals in the spacious kitchen. The couches in the living room are sooo comfortable. We loved being able to watch our group as well as others pass by on Roundabout. The ski cabinets kept all of our stuff organized, making it super easy to gather our stuff every morning and head out the door. There were two keys that allowed you to lock the sliding door going out back. There was a bit of a climb to get to the ski slope, but I just hoisted myself up after throwing my skis up the embankment. Not ideal, but not a deal breaker either. It could be a bit of a nuisance with those with very young children or older people in your group. The houses to the right and left of the Warming Hut did not have that issue. That being said, the house was wonderful as were the amenities. I can’t complain!! The bedrooms were spacious and the steam shower was an experience. The boys loved playing pool and playing their video games on the TVs. The fireplace in the upstairs living room was such a nice touch. The ability to use the free coach was super handy! We loved it

We loved our stay at the Warming Hut! We stayed there in July of 2020 with theee families. TONS of space and plenty of rooms and bathrooms. Perfectly located near everything you need. We had an issue with the hot tub being dirty but they sent someone the next day to service it. One word of caution...the house has lots of stairs. We had an older couple with us and the stairs were a bit much for them. Other than that we LOVED our stay and would definitely stay here again.

Stayed the week of Thanksgiving. The property was wonderful and everything our group needed, which included 4 families with 9 total children ranging from kindergarten to 7th grade. We knew that the property was going to be nice, but it exceeded our expectations. Sparkling clean, 2 dryers and washers, etc. Summer was great around Copper Mountain town, own activities around the town and plenty of fun. Had an issue with a fuse and after calling the office they immediately directed me where to go and how to fix the problem. Excellent stay so therefore 5 stars.

Beautiful, roomy, and loaded with the right stuff for fun. We used this cabin for a group get together for 12 guys during early summer. The number of rooms, beds, and bathrooms let everyone be comfortable during the trip. The pool table, hot tub, chef's kitchen, and giant living room provided lots of room for fun and activities. We would definitely stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Warming Hut. The location was ideal! We vacation with our entire family, so having all the space was wonderful. We also cooked in several meals, and the kitchen is a chef's dream!! (The best part of the house!) The management staff was available and very helpful (wifi issue). The only negatives were the outdoor seating is limited. There are only 2 chairs on the main deck and none on the lower level. This was disappointing, as we would have loved to dine outside several evenings. The other item, not a big deal, some of the bedding was a little worn. Overall, the house was WONDERFUL! We had plenty of room to spread out and yet the rooms were able to accommodate all of us if needed. Our adult kids thought this was one of our best family vacations.... because of the house!

Cant get any better than this location! The house was beautiful and as described. Our only issues were little things like no soap to wash dishes, no crock pot as stated, x-box was broke, and missing the basketball hoops that were pictured. Overall great place and we would definitely book again.

This house was amazing! It has everything we needed and more. My friends and I enjoyed the house and the amazing views that came with the house! Amenities were great! TVS in every room! I will definitely be booking another stay in the future! The hospitality and customer service was 5 star as well! I will never forget this trip!

This house is great! Very open, big kitchen, great kitchen downstairs for lunch off the slopes! We had a wonderful time with 8 adults and 4 kids. The rental company was really good at making sure we had everything we needed!

The home is exquisite in every way - from the unique architecture to the location right on the slopes to the fabulous kitchen and all the other niceties. Just can't say enough good. We had 15 people across 3 generations - and we all fit in without any trouble. The rental agency also was great to deal with; they were very attentive to questions and concerns.

The Warming Hunt was the perfect rental for our family vacation. Especially if you have kiddos in ski school, the location slopeside is fantastic. We utilized the dedicated shuttle as well to go to dinner at CB's in Copper one night and that worked out great. We will be back for sure!

Great home! Very large, and very close to the slope. It was super to have young kids in the home, and they had a lot of fun. It was fun to watch the skiers ski past, and we had a great vacation. We will return.

Our family of 10 stayed here from Nov. 30-Dec. 3, 2012. We loved this house! There wasn't much snow sadly but the house made up for it and we enjoyed the hot tub, pool table, theater room and the list just goes on. It was the best family vacation ever! Thank You

Very beautiful home! We all enjoyed the movie theater, pool table, hot tub, and the gourmet kitchen. A huge hit with the kids (especially with the tv's in each bunk bed. - parents did not like this so much especially at bedtime!) We all had a wonderful time even with the low amount of snow. This will be a tough house to beat for our next ski trip!

We had such a wonderful Christmas in Copper Mountain 2010! Not only was the warming hut perfect for our group but Tracy and David were excellent help with every detail. The people at Copper Mountain are so friendly and helpful and the snow was awesome. We really loved bringing our families here for a Christmas to remember! Our son even got engaged on the beautiful balcony overlooking the ski slopes. This was the best Christmas present we could ever give to our grown kids and grandchildren. They loved everything!! The ski school and thankfully everything including the flights, snow and car rentals went right on schedule. Do drink lots of water as to not get altitude sickness.!!! God truly blessed our family this Christmas with a wonderful time. Thanks again to Tracy and David for making our stay perfect! Sharorn & Gary & Sue and families!!
