There is something to be said for the spring ski season: smaller crowds, sunshine-filled days, warm temperatures and soft snow are among just a few of the reasons locals love this ski season secret. If you’re looking to avoid the crowds and get a tan while you make turns, end of season is the best time to book your Summit County ski vacation!

Breckenridge plans to bring its ski season to a close April 21st but in true Breck style, won’t be going out quietly. April festivities include competitions, beer festivals, chili cook-offs, and The Breck Plunge Pond Skim. Bask in the sunshine while celebrating another excellent season!

Copper Mountain closes out the season with live music and the Red Bull Slopesoakers – a twist on the traditional pond skim where competitors attempt to hit floating rails before diving into the chilly waters. Bring the kids for the World’s Largest Easter Egg Hunt to find over 65,000 eggs spread out over the mountain! Events all weekend with a projected closing date of April 21st.

Keystone’s projected closing date may be the earliest – April 8th – but that only means the mountain is anxious to get to its summer activities! Known for being family-friendly, Keystone trades skiing and sleigh rides for mountain biking and golfing. Still want your snow fix? Keystone offers snow tubing for the whole family all year round.

Arapahoe Basin is known for its party attitude but one thing it does take seriously: being the last resort still standing. With enough snow, Arapahoe Basin’s season typically runs well into June and often into July with their latest closing date reaching to August 10 in 1995! This year’s projected closing date is June 2nd, although all signs point to at least a few weeks longer.

If you’re looking to enjoy the slopes and sunshine without the crowds, book your River Ridge Rentals spring season getaway today! Don’t forget to pack the sunscreen!
