Looking for family-friendly fun in Summit County? Why not hit the tubing parks? Fun for all ages and with so many parks in the summit county area (and with lift service included) it’s the perfect way to spend a snowy day on the hill without the ski lessons and lift lines.
The Frisco Adventure Park is just minutes from Main Street and surrounded by Dillon Reservoir and mountain views in every direction. The hill features multiple 1,200-foot tubing lanes with lift service up the hill (no carrying heavy tubes as well as the little ones!) Warm up in the main lodge after or explore their other activities including a beginner ski or ride hill (lessons available!) or miles of cross-country skiing. Reservations are required so make sure you book in advance!
If you’re spending time at the family-friendly Keystone Resort, then tubing at the summit of Dercum Mountain is a must! Ride the gondola to the top and head towards the Kidtopia Snow Fort. With six lanes vary from gentle to steep, a state-of-the-art conveyor lift and lights for tubing well into the evening, Keystone’s tubing park has it all! Reservations are required and can be made by calling 970-496-4386. Make it a trip and take a second gondola ride to Der Fondue Chessel to enjoy a four-course meal served fondue style.
For the adventurous, head to Copper Mountain Tubing Hill. A course of banked curves and varying steepness add a layer of fun to this family-friendly activity after a day on the slopes. Equipped with a magic carpet lift so no need to hike or carry your own tube and double tubes are available! Reservations are highly encouraged but there is some walk-up availability.
Whether you’ll be spending your family vacation on the slopes or the tubing hill (or both!) you’ll want to book your lodging with River Ridge Rentals. Perfect for families (including your four-legged friend) and with locations all over Summit County, you’re sure to find exactly what you and your family need!
