- Boreas Pass Overlook: Perfect for spring, summer and fall or time of day or night, Boreas Pass is a beautiful drive along the Continental Divide. Stop at the overlook for gorgeous views of the town of Breckenridge with the resort standing tall behind it. Wildflowers line this road in the summer, photos taken at night above the town are simply magic and fall offers the vibrant colors of the Aspen trees. Check for road closures during the winter although hiking is permissible.
- Dillon Reservoir and Sapphire Point: Take Swan Mountain Road off Highway 6 between Keystone and Breckenridge. This gorgeous road winds through the White River National Forest and along the Dillon Reservoir with many points to snap a few photos but the highlight would be Sapphire Point. At an elevation of 9,500 feet, the overlook offers beautiful views of the reservoir and both the Gore and Ten Mile mountain ranges.
- Keystone, Peak of Dercum Mountain: If you’re the adventurous type, take the River Run Gondola to the top of Keystone for easily accessed and unmatched views of the mountains. Perfect for a family photo op, Epic Pass photographers are on staff during the ski season to catch smiling faces before hitting the slopes!
- Mayflower Gulch: Located near Breckenridge, this 6.1 mile out and back trail offers spectacular views of the mountains and in spring and summer months is abundant with wildflowers. Photography opportunities don’t stop at mountains and wildflowers. This trail is only moderately trafficked, giving hikers the opportunity to come across wildlife! You’ll also head through the ruins of the failed Boston Mining Company gold digs for a little history with your nature.
- Loveland Pass - Continental Divide: This epic drive is a detour off I-70, passing Loveland Ski Resort, Arapahoe Basin and down into the town of Keystone. With several places to pull off and take photos above tree line, this drive culminates where it crosses the Continental Divide at an elevation of almost 12,000 feet. Stop for a moment (in designated parking only and watch for pedestrians), take in the view and the chance to stand on what feels like the top of the world!
