One of the greatest joys of enjoying a vacation is eating local cuisine but if you have dietary restrictions or follow a specific dietary lifestyle, you may find your options limited. Not in Summit County! If you follow a vegan diet, read on for recommendations of area favorites!

Pure Kitchen’s philosophy is all about seasonality. Featuring local, organic, sustainable, fair-trade products, the Frisco restaurant offers an extensive menu accommodating all types of dietary needs including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free. Be sure not to miss the Blackened Romanesco Tacos.

If you’re in the mood for a slice or two, Piante Pizzeria in Breckenridge is an almost exclusively vegan pizza shop. We recommend starting off with the Roasted Jalapeno Poppers (made with cashew mozzarella), the Cranberry Walnut Salad, and then get your pizza fix with either the Margherita or Pesto pies.

You’ll find traditional American fare at Silverheel’s Bar and Grill in Frisco. Substitute a burger for a black bean patty or try Joe’s Bowl – stir fry vegetables, peanuts, coconut soy sauce and choice of rice or noodles with tofu.

Vinny’s, a local favorite, offers both a dining room as well as a more casual pub and features fresh, locally-inspired, farm to table offerings. Fantastic service includes a staff that can speak plant-based dishes and substitutions. The seared organic tofu with grilled portobello is one of the most ordered items on the menu – vegan or otherwise. Reservations recommended.

Bangkok Happy Bowl in Breckenridge is a favorite for fresh, flavorful, authentic Thai food without ever leaving the mountains! Multiple vegan options include the Curry Puffs, Tom Kha soup with tofu, and a varying selection of vegan sushi choices.

Enjoy your vacation and leave the cooking to someone else, vegan dishes included! If you’re still not convinced, all River Ridge Rentals luxury accommodations include a full kitchen to whip up your own vegan gourmet meal! Book today!
