If it’s adventure you’re after, Summit County spring has it in store. Set off on a hike taking in the snow-capped vistas. Sallie Barber Mine is a great, out and back beginner hike perfect for the whole family. Carter Park is a gateway to an extensive trail system leading all over Breckenridge. The main climb is difficult but short, and the views of town from the top are rewarding. If looking to spend some time among the peaceful pines, the Peaks Trail is a family-friendly, out and back trek alongside Breckenridge Ski Resort. Be sure to bring extra water, wear lots of layers and the appropriate footwear. Trails could still be covered in snow.
