Challenging for all experience levels, Keystone Ranch follows the links-style across the front nine while the back follows a more traditional layout with slight elevation changes.
You don’t need to be a mountaineer to enjoy the mountain views, glacial lakes, and wildlife encounters of Summit County. Accessible from Main Street in Frisco, Rainbow Lake is an out-and-back hike is meandering through wetlands, Aspen groves, lodgepole pines and eventually ending at a beaver pond just under a mile from the start. Continue on to the slightly more challenging Miners Creek Road or the Peaks trail – an easy path that will take you all the way to Breckenridge. If its views you’re after, Sapphire Point Overlook Trail is an easy hike with little elevation gain. Located between Keystone and Breckenridge on Swan Mountain Road, this loop trail offers panoramic views of Lake Dillon and both the Gore and Ten Mile mountain ranges. Always be sure to wear sunscreen and bring plenty of water.
