Arrived on 2025-01-05 | Shanna C.The house was great, the location was great! The house was acceptably clean. It was very comfortable and roomy for 8 ppl. (We were just 7). My family and I cook in most nights and found the kitchen well equipped. The beds were comfortable and the closets were spacious. Every thing, including the hot tub, were well maintained. The one and only complaint all the members of my family had is, while it is certainly ski out, the ski in was a bit of a stretch. Approximately two thirds of Snowflake lane is flat, for which, you had to pole, skate or just walk. That definitely came into consideration when choosing to do 1 more run or save some energy for getting back to the house. But even with that we enjoyed our trip and made great memories.

I recently spent the week before Xmas with my wife, three children, and parents in this fantastic ski in/ski out townhome. It is right on the Snowflake run at the bottom of Peak 8, with four comfortable rooms, a well-stocked kitchen, tons of amenities, and just a short drive down the hill to town. I highly recommend staying here if you're coming to ski, and I can imagine it's just as great and comfortable if you come in warmer months.

We loved our stay! The house was clean and well stocked. We used the hot tub multiple times during the stay, and were happy to have the garage to store all the bikes, rack, and fishing gear we brought with us. The walk from the house to town was very do-able (about 10 min down, maybe a little longer up since it's uphill). There are plenty of open-able windows to cool the house down in the summer, and most have a great ceiling fan. Beds were comfy, water pressure was nice, it was everything you'd want! We were also delighted to find puzzles and board games in the closet, although we never got around to them.

Luxury on the Slopes

This unit surpassed our expectations

We loved being able to walk out and catch the trail to Sawmill Reservoir and being close enough to walk to town as well. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook quite a few meals, and loved having 3 levels so that everyone had their own space. The hot tub was a wonderful place to wind down at the end of the day. When we had questions or needed anything, the staff at River Ridge was quick to get back to us with answers. We loved it so much we added on an extra day.

Summer Vacation
Arrived on 2023-07-17 | Bob H.Great place for a 3 night stop in Breckenridge for a family summer vacation. House was great, and any issues (broken coffee maker) were immediately resolved by the local property manager. Walk downhill to downtown with a bus ride back up the hill if you need it. The deck looks out onto the lift and woods with a cool, short trail up to one of the lakes on the slopes to fish or just hike. Overall great location and the condition of the house was spotless and great for our family of 7, (all 18+ years old).

A short walk to the Free Ride shuttle as well. Gorgeous views of the mountain(s), your own private hot tub, a huge townhome, very responsive management company, a gas grill, a warm gas fireplace, plenty of room for a large family or a few families - this place will not disappoint. We loved our stay and plan to return for sure. Cannot say enough good things about this property and the management company. First class all the way.

Our family of nine stayed at Saddlewood for a vacation in December of 2021. The accommodations were excellent. The property manager is very professional and quick to respond to any request or need. The only unexpected issue pertained to our ability to ski-in and ski-out, which was halted due to the closure of the Snowflake Trail leading to the condo. Of course, this issue was due to a lack of snow and out of the control of the owner or property manager. Nonetheless, we were able to shuttle everyone from the base of Peak 9 to the condo expeditiously. Overall, we had a great experience!

We have stayed in this home five times during August. It is an outstanding location. Close to town, hiking, fishing and more. There are 6 adults and 4 children, now 9-11 and they have a ball. While we are from Denver, our daughter is from Allen, Texas, and there is now a cluster of her friends renting in the Saddlewood complex. See you next year.

So the location for this rental is fantastic- a true ski-in/ski-out! Easy and close to the Snowflake Lift. It is a little more challenging to get back with some pulling in spots, but not too bad. It’s a close walk to downtown- easy downhill to get there but steep, icy, and cold coming back if in evening so take into consideration. Having our own hot tub was awesome. The unit had plenty of space, but was a little beat up. And some of the small appliances did not work (toaster and coffeemaker) on day 1 which was a catastrophe for no coffee but management brought new replacements that day and had no issues afterwards) and dishwasher on day 3 of our stay. A lot of the electrical outlets didn’t work which was odd. It would have been nice to have had 2 king beds vs a king and queen for two families. The beds were ok and pillows fair. I would stay at The Retreat at Saddlewood again but probably not this unit.

Overall good experience. House has a million dollar view. Ski In/Ski Out is fantastic and the residence is within walking distance to Main Street. It is also a short walk to catch the free shuttle to Main Street and other various points in Breckenridge. My only suggestion on the house would be to shut it down for a few weeks and do some cosmetic alterations. The house is looking a bit tired and needs some TLC. Heating system never did work that well, especially on the master bedroom floor.

The property was perfect - the location was superb, with excellent access to the trails. The layout inside was great, there was plenty of room and the kitchen was very well supplied. Great place for 8 adults to fit comfortably without feeling like you were in top of each other. It is a true ski-in/out as long as there's enough snow for the Snowflake run to be open. (No one can control that!) The hot tub was great at the end of a long ski day. (No one can control that!) The hot tub was great at the end of a long ski day. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of dishes, pans, etc. They even left us a little welcome package which was fun and a nice touch! Quick response on a few issues. Overall great stay.

Nice Ski in Ski out town-home on Snowflake lift run
Arrived on 2019-03-30 | Jay M.This town-home worked well for our Breckenridge Ski trip. Definitely a ski in-ski out location on the Snowflake lift run. Bonus is you can buy lift tickets at the base of the Snowflake lift as well as rent equipment if you need it. In addition all everyone could meet at the unit for lunch.Bedrooms are on all three levels which gives everyone their own space. This unit is one of two units together .When we were hear, end of March early April,the area was very quite.Kitchen was well equipped for all the cooking we needed to do.We would definitely rent this unit again for all the reasons stated above.

The rental was very nice and could easily accommodate 9 people. The management company was extremely responsive to any issue. We are from Florida so humidifiers were a must. They are not provided so we had to buy four (and we left them) just to be able to sleep at night. It was a great ski in ski out to the snowflake lift although getting back to the condo has some very flat spots so you will be pulling with your poles or unhooking your snowboard. You are a little distance from town so you will need to drive, Lyft or Uber to go to dinner or go downtown. The hot tub was great but for a long stay, it would need to be cleaned. The only negative was the high cost to stay at this location.

3rd year renting here. Great location for everything. Super for kids, hikes, lake, Fairy Trail. Pillows in master bedroom should be improved. Also consider going to a Keurig coffee maker. Gives better choices for coffee. Seems like there is room to widen the driveway so 3 cars can park but understand HOA’s since I owned a unit at Sundowner.River Ridge Rentals is great. Work was done on the roof gutters and nails and screws left in driveway, fortunately no flat tires. Overall, great stay, see you next year.

We spent a week in the Retreat at Saddlewood with 2 families and it was great. The house was comfortable and spacious, we did not feel crowded even with 5 kids. The kitchen was well stocked. the beds were comfortable. We had some minimal issues with the shower and dishwasher and a few other questions that the rental company sorted out straight away, they were great to deal with. The location was great being on the snowflake access trail. Occ we had to push tired kids home which was tough as it's a bit flat in places but skiing right out the door was great. the hot tub was enjoyed by all, it had a great view.

This is a wonderful home for a gathering of friends and/or family. The location is perfect. It has a very nice view from the living room windows of the peaks. It is close to town and it is true ski out property. Although the property is ski in as well, be prepared to hike a little on the trail back from the slopes. The house was clean and comfortable with all amenities...except it is without a good working stereo. The on site hot tub is a game changer at the end of a long day of skiing. The rental staff were accommodating and helpful. Overall this is a great place to stay while in Breckenridge.
