We rented the French Street Retreat for the month of March. Added the cottage behind the main house for a week when our adult children came to visit. The experience was terrific. Beds comfortable. Kitchen well supplied. We cooked every day. I enjoyed watching the sun rise and set on the mountains from the comfort of the living room. Easy access to the purple bus or easy walk to the gondola for those who didn’t want to wait. Location is perfect for walking to town as well as the sledding hill. This is our second year staying at this location. We’re looking forward to staying there again. River Ridge Rentals is very responsive to questions etc. hot tub was well maintained with frequent service.

The ice maker was not working. Other than the ice maker the house was very cozy. The location to town was great. It was easy to walk to town for shopping or lunch or dinner. We would definitely recommend this property and hope to stay here again soon.

Just returned from a three generation Breckenridge family ski trip in this terrific house, which is exceptionally well located both for skiing and for après ski activities. The house has been redone from top to bottom in tasteful and utilitarian fashion. Rental agent was very helpful and responsive.

Very nice house, very clean, laid out well and has all the amenities we wanted. Thorough instructions re checking in and checking out. Good location, easy walk to Main Street. Full complement of dishes, pots and pans, silverware, etc. Nice beds, linens, and towels. Maybe this is picky, but we could not find any hot pads for removing pans from oven, and could use some plastic glasses for use in hot tub. Didn't respond to after hours "emergency" phone call until the next morning.

One month at French Street Retreat

We had a wonderful month on French Street right across from the orange VW! Our adult children and grandchildren joined us at different times. There was plenty of room. Kitchen was well equipped for all the meals we prepared. Hot tub was right outside the back door, quite convenient. All the beds were very comfortable. River Ridge staff was extremely responsive and helpful. Very close to downtown, short walk or bus ride to the gondola. Would rent this house again.

French Street is perfect for a cozy comfortable retreat. It was clean and felt like a new home. There was plenty of room for three couples to have their own space, and to relax together in front of the fireplace. We really enjoyed our stay at the French Street Retreat with my wife, kids and grandchildren. It was clean, spacious and well provisioned. It’s at a great location to walk to Main Street for food and shopping. Our only issue was a limit of 2 cars on property, which was stated in the rental description.

Not enough words to describe how perfect this home was for our summer Father’s Day celebration with our 3 college kids! Our hosts were super responsive, and they had the home stocked so well. Cooking was a breeze, but we were only steps from all that Main Street in Breck offers! Would definitely stay here again!

The jacuzzi was heated and well kept. The house was stocked w paper products and cleaning supplies and was spotless and sanitized on arrival. They allowed us an early check in but that is w prior approval. We had some minor issues, a toaster that broke, construction blocking our driveway, a faulty jet in the jacuzzi that were all promptly addressed and corrected within hours. It would be nice to have a better outdoor space for dining outside. Overall we truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely consider a River Ridge Rental next summer.

The toaster broke and was replaced the same morning. Likewise, hot tub was promptly serviced. Fenna and Spencer helped with service. There was some construction next door but after management spoke to them the problem resolved. Breckenridge is beautiful and we enjoyed hiking and biking!

Overall, it was good. The home is in a great location,, within walking distance to town. We have stayed in this house before. The Master shower door sticks and appears ready to fall off its hinges. We noticed this on our first visit and it was only worse on the second. Same answer: new glass on order. The furniture in LR is in great need of a cleaning and or updating. This property allows pets and the furniture reflects that. The rental company is extremely pleasant and responsive.

Perfect Mountain Getaway

French Street Retreat was the perfect vacation home for our group of 7 adults-we could have even accommodated 1 or 2 more comfortably. The proximity to Main Street and the Gondola was great! We walked everywhere, even while carrying our snowboards. While close to downtown, it was still quiet and peaceful. Check in was a breeze, and the home had everything we needed. The only slight dissatisfaction were the pillows: if you’re a plush pillow person, pack one from home or stop at target on the way in! The 2 beds upstairs are sleep number so you can adjust to your comfort level. I will also note, the back bedroom gets quite bright in the morning as if faces east. So if you’re a vampire like myself-pack an eye mask or chose the front most room or lower level ones! Also, foot steps are heard quite easily so pack earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. Other than that, the home was clean, warm upon arrival (including the hot tub!), comfortable, stocked with games, multiple televisions-although we hardly turned them on, large dining table to fit 8 plus a couple bar stools; fully stocked kitchen. Only recommendation there would be larger Tupperware containers or Siran wrap/foil to preserve leftovers! Overall, a really a great rental and a wonderful experience! Would definitely return! We had 3 families, 10 people total with 4 kiddos, here for Christmas week. The location is so worth being able to walk into town, to the bus for the lifts, or to the gondola. We had a couple of issues with house stuff, and the company was SUPER responsive and took care of anything necessary as soon as they could.

You dont need to bring a thing to this home other than your clothes and toiletries. It is all there for you! There was plenty of space for our family of 5 to spread out. We also traveled with our two dogs and they even seemed to enjoy the home. The beds were very comfortable. We loved the hot tub too. This home is within walking distance to Main Street which was so nice. We walked to breakfast several times and to shops on Main Street. We will absolutely stay in this home again our next time in Breck! It is a gem!

This place was perfect in every way. Our large family stayed for Easter weekend. The nearby bus stop made it is easy to get the kids and their gear to the mountain for snowboarding and the walk to Main street is quick and close. The house is very spacious, which the kids loved for the easter egg hunt. We all enjoyed the hot tub, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. We'd love to stay again!

The Rental was as described and quite nice. It would be a perfect experience if they had nicer beds. Seems as they might be older models. Additionally, the location would be perfect but on the same street a few buildings down is a live music bar that plays till 1:30. You can here the music in the upstairs bedrooms. Not fun. But overall the rental was wonderful.

The house was very clean, had plenty of space, and was well-equipped with everything we needed. After our long hikes, we would come back and relax on the front porch or in the nice hot tub on the patio. Also loved the outdoor grill. Overall, a very pleasant stay. Also wanted to give a shout-out to the excellent customer service we received from the main office. Would stay here again and again!

French Street Retreat was amazing!

We had plenty of space for everyone. The house is very nicely updated and super clean. The kitchen has everything needed to make meal - we brought food and snacks and what couple items we forgot we picked up at the City Market which is only 2 blocks away. The convenience to town was key as the kids were able to walk a couple blocks and do their own thing on Main Street. I'm a runner and loved being a block away from the main bike/run path. We will be back every time we come to Breck!
